Peter Fleming is retired and living with his wife Claire and dog Roxie on the Kapiti Coast north of Wellington, New Zealand. He has written and self published two books. The first chronicles his journey in his Land Rover in 1980 and the second is the story of his macadamia farming in Australia.

Peter has now expanded his media activities and broadcasts every week on a local community radio station – Coast Access Radio, based in Waikanae. His programme, ‘Great Tracks and Side Tracks‘, goes out live every Wednesday from 12.30 to 14.00 (local time). Great Tracks refers to the popular music that he plays and Side Tracks are odd and amusing stories, usually from the UK newspaper , the International Express. Tune in on-line on http://www.coastaccessradio.org.nz. All programmes are available at any time and anywhere via podcasts.

In addition to his music programme, Peter has recorded his first book ‘In the Middle of Nowhere’ and this is being broadcast on Coast Access Radio from July 2019 in weekly half hour episodes.

He self-publishes through Bounceabout Publications.
